Leaf Posted August 22, 2014 Posted August 22, 2014 Kurfuerst posted this on the DCS forum; thought I'd repost it. Devastating effectiveness.
II/JG17_HerrMurf Posted August 22, 2014 Posted August 22, 2014 (edited) I've seen better versions of this but it's probably the same test just a different hit (wing). Edited August 22, 2014 by A1FltTrn=HerrMurf 1
LLv34_Flanker Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 S! There were also a pic of a Blenheim fuselage being hit by a 30mm round in RAF trials, with devastating results.
Voidhunger Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 It´s like our 20mm ammo we have in BOS Both VVS and Germans
Bf-110 Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 Interesting. Devastating, but doesn't seem to blow a plane to small pieces like in the old IL2.
StickMan Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 Interesting. Devastating, but doesn't seem to blow a plane to small pieces like in the old IL2.That was one round. I'm sure in IL-2 you guys don't just pop off one round.
IVJG4-Knight Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 (edited) Interesting. Devastating, but doesn't seem to blow a plane to small pieces like in the old IL2. Dude i can make a one hour montage where i hit a spitfire or a la-5,7 dead on in the wing and not only does the wing not brake but the spit's , la turn rate remains the same. And the mk 108 only uses HE incendiary and M-Geschoss. In real life i've read that a 20 mm shell that hit's the engine sometimes make the plane explode. Or a burst from a thunderbolt 8 mg's.
