=]VLA[=Ravonmith Posted August 22, 2014 Posted August 22, 2014 Although i had put this into the suggestion area as well i wanted to present my opinion here as well and may get some bad/ good feedback. Type of improvement: Multiplayer Explanation of proposals: Enable the player to play a preset multiplayer mission to each phase of the battle of stalingrad campaign. If there are 5 stages in the campaign, create 5 Missions. Each covering the fights in this phase. Introduce the most important goals of this phase as missions in the multiplayer mission. Keep using your points system to determine who won. Example: Germans have to attack a factory, destroy some AAA and help their troops to conquer an airfield , Russians need to destroy the bridge the germans need for their assault and defend, and maybe destroy some supportracks /transporter. If a team reached a goal the other team loosing points (like when killing enemy planes). Maybe the mission starts with 6000 Points, destroying enemy plaines still costs the enemy the same amount of points but reaching one goal will cost 1000 or 500 points. There should be always 2/3 goals /targets for every team to complete at the same time and after one is done maybe a nother will popup. Benefits: The immersion of a real war where objectives count more then just killing pilots / planes . Opposing Missions generate areas where people expect the enemy and likely will find one. Targets increase the will to fight and play again and again to win. Feeling of success is much more rewarding and keep the player playing It is very important to keep the community playing this game and increase the benefit and fun for everyone. Playing people spend money *cough*. Just killing each other in multiplayer is not the final stage of the game as i know. But a well done missions system that got a hugh replay value is what the game need. Since there is no easy mission editor who everyone will have access to it would be nice to have a preset of 5 large multiplayer mission presets that grants 1000 of hours fun because you can enjoy the war itself again and again. Because of the singleplayer campaign design with its dynamic missions it would be easy to resycle some of this tasks and use them for bigger (maybe 1 /2 /3 hour lasting sessions) "multiplayer mission" or campagin. This also would be a big feature of the game and some kind of a UPS (unique selling proposition) and convinices more people to buy the game.
AceRevo Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 at least 1 hour long missions, not something where you lose a few tanks or an airfield and game over.. How about dynamic missions... where the objectives may change during missions depending on completeded/failed objectives and so on which should be able to make up for some nice long and varied online sessions! +1 though, as soon as I can give out some more rep points 1
Mmaruda Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 +1 for the idea. I would go even further. Respawns only possible in waves, so that players start with friendlies around, preferably already in formation. A limit on choosing fighter planes, so that if the objective is a ground target, people need to fill a minimal amount of bomber slots for the fighters to become available. All in all, I find that having to make suggestions like this shows that though multiplayer is something the IL-2 games have always been renowned for, in terms of gameplay and features first person shooters are more objective-based than simulators. It's always been some sort of airquake where people fly around getting frags. Or we have objectives like taking over airfields... Pretty much like War Thunder. 1
Trinkof Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 (edited) Tais type of mission is already running on syndicate and eagle nest server .... With al the feature you suggested just missing the point count wich is still WIP ! You even have to resupply airfield with he 111 to make plane aviable on airfield. On Eagle Nest, if I am correct, airfield can be captured by ground forces unless you bomb them . .... And this is awesome Edited September 5, 2014 by =FFS=Trinkof
