I found a couple of very interesting documentaries about the russian planes we're flying in BoS. I also included some videos about other mouth-watering aircraft used during the later stages of the war.

 

I learned plenty of very interesting stuff... I suggest you give it a look too!

thx, they are interesting. but "a little bit" biased towards russian planes and stuffs. Whenever it comes to a comparison (with german planes and stuff), don't take those videos too serious. The rest is very informative

Then again, every documentary seems to be biased towards the nation it was made in. Either in only showing certain kinds of footage, or simply picking and choosing certain statements and opinions. Compare British and American documentaries, for instance. (Although I prefer British ones, since most American documentaries are god-awful).

Of course, I always take WW2-related documentaries with a grain of salt. Yet I find the lack of documentation on russian warbirds simply appaling. Some of these machines are just as good-looking and sexy as British Spitfires or American Mustangs IMHO.

 

Personally, I think that the Pe-8 looks completely badass. It looks just as mean as a B-17 or a Lanc', which is saying something  . I keep wondering how come I never heard of those before.

 

I've always been a fan of heavy bombers and I think it's just criminal how few games feature them. My dream for a DCS or BoS heavy bomber still lives on to this day.
