ACG_Flyby Posted August 21, 2014 Posted August 21, 2014 I just read in a General Discussion thread that one needs to pull back on the stick to lock the tail-wheel in the 190. Here I was foaming at the mouth because I could not get the 190 to roll straight from a stop when I thought I had the tail-wheel locked per the in-game controls setting, having assigned a button to toggle that function. Is that a bug?. I also see that switching the pitch from auto to manual (as seen by the switch moving to the correct position) seems to do nothing when I try changing the pitch with an assigned axis on my TM Cougar (Ant knob). It seems locked in auto (Expert mode selected). Is that also a bug? Maybe I'm selecting the wrong controls for a German engine, so I'm asking those who fly Luftwaffe fighters in Expert mode which controls are you using? BTW, the lower panel is useless for seeing the Prop-pitch settings as it's too low (as has been reported elsewhere. I'm sure the fix is in for it. Right?) Anyway, TIA for the help. Flyby out
Sokol1 Posted August 21, 2014 Posted August 21, 2014 (edited) Here I was foaming at the mouth because I could not get the 190 to roll straight from a stop when I thought I had the tail-wheel locked per the in-game controls setting, having assigned a button to toggle that function. Is that a bug?. No, is not a "bug" the command "tail-wheel locked" is for planes that have a manual lever to lock tail whee, e.g. Bf 109. In Fw 190 this is done pull back the stick. The same thing achieved by different methods (different planes, different commands). I also see that switching the pitch from auto to manual (as seen by the switch moving to the correct position) seems to do nothing when I try changing the pitch with an assigned axis on my TM Cougar (Ant knob). Fw 190 PP control is not done by axis, is for momentary button on throttle grip. Assign the function to one HOTAS HAT that work as expected. BTW, the lower panel is useless for seeing the Prop-pitch settings as it's too low (as has been reported elsewhere. I'm sure the fix is in for it. Right?) Press (keypad) "Del" that you see. Assign for some HAT/button help. Sokol1 Edited August 21, 2014 by Sokol1
ACG_Flyby Posted August 21, 2014 Author Posted August 21, 2014 Many thanks Sokol1. I will make those changes immediately. I've obviously missed this information somewhere along the line. I'll leave the tail-wheel lock in place, and remember it does not apply to the Anton. Flyby out
