FTC_crash1983 Posted August 20, 2014 Posted August 20, 2014 love the game but we need more severs in the E.U cant get in half the time always full. 3
17_Gurkha_Jack_Daniels Posted August 22, 2014 Posted August 22, 2014 well I'm in UK and was about to buy, but do I wait for official release instead do you think? :/
SYN_Mike77 Posted August 22, 2014 Posted August 22, 2014 you can always log into the US servers. Just yesterday with the EU servers full, all the syndicate members who were flying decided to switch to the US server. A couple of us were from the US (and we regularily fly (European) a couple were from the UK and a couple were from various countries on the mainland of Europe. No problems for anyone!
BMA_West Posted August 22, 2014 Posted August 22, 2014 Probably the following important update that is stalling the resurfacing of the other servers.Next week will be better.WIP you know ...
Emgy Posted August 22, 2014 Posted August 22, 2014 (edited) The main clod servers are, AFAIK, in central USA and there's no problem for European players. There are lots of sub-Atlantic communications cables these days, ping from Europe to NA central or east usually isn't a problem IMO. I've played Battlefield from Europe to a Chicago server, I asked the other players on the server if I was rubberbanding or seemed to otherwise lag, but they hadn't noticed anything out of the order. I didn't experience any lag symptoms either. Edited August 22, 2014 by Calvamos

17_Gurkha_Jack_Daniels Posted August 25, 2014 Posted August 25, 2014 The issue is more one of matchmaking to me. I've terrible experience of games that use geo-location matchmaking causing me latency problems. My ISP falsely reports my geographic location so if a host uses that info to match me I tend to suffer lag. Not knowing the matchmaking system with IL2 I think I'll wait a little while until the next update settles and balances before jumping in.Appreciate your help chaps, thanks.
