TrackIR 5 profile

So I thought I'd post here instead of Requiem's thread about his channel.

 

I've been running my TiR5 for a bit over a year now. Never really played with any curves. Have seen plenty of people talking about grabbing others profiles and using them. Thought I'd give it a go and see how good things could be. Forget where I saw it (forums or in game?) but somebody mentioned Requiem's TiR profile and how much they liked it. So I downloaded it, but there's no place to put it.

 

So - the point of this thread. I've googled. Can't find any good answers. I've checked the directories where it's supposed to be none exist.

From the manual:

Note : Profiles are saved in C:\Program Files\NaturalPoint\TrackIR5\Profiles. Windows 7 and Vista users with the User Access Control active may find their profile in one of the following alternate locations where <yourusername> is your user account name. Please note that in 64 bit operating systems, the program files directory is called "Program files (x86)".

I've searched for those (Ofcourse putting in my actual user). None exist. Even in c:\program files (x86)\naturalpoint -> there was no "TrackIR5" folder. So I created the folder, and "profiles" sub folder.

 

Unsurprisingly, TrackIR doesn't see the new profile. I'm about to try reinstalling it, maybe the directories were put somewhere they shouldn't had. Anybody else have these issues, or found the directory to be elsewhere?

I have my requiem profile in C:\Program Files (x86)\NaturalPoint\TrackIR5\Profiles and it sees it just fine :/

I'm dumb. I just checked my 2nd hard drive... I forgot I installed it to E:\

Lol, I was in the process of asking you just that when I saw your reply.

 

Smart move, I always install things such as this outside of the program files folder due to UAC.

Ya. I think if there wasn't a NaturalPoint folder under the c:\program files(x86), I'd have went straight to my e:\. Instead I spent far too much time trying to find the answers. Oh well I found it at least! Lol
