Yes so I am probably the only pansy here that uses the HUD, but I am a single player and I happen to like it so there lol.

 

Saying that, I do wish it had a little more info, namely prop pitch and oil rad, say as a percentage like water rad and throttle.

Agreed. I would love to see; which auto features are enabled (like RoF in top right), a little representation of the analog controllers (like CloD in bottom left), text representation of switches and status in the plane (like Il2 1946).

 

Admittedly these features are all visual clutter, but when learning or playing on a less optimal setup (eg. No hotas) are helpful to be able to turn on for greater awareness of plane state.

I think it would really help the new folks coming in as well, to see say prop pitch at a glance and go - oh yeah, I need to adjust that.

RoF and ILYA Muromets have "simple gauges" available. So likely BoS will to.

I really like the more compact way BoS shows the hud now. I think it is less distracting than RoF or IM. I also like that it has a compact and full mode which can be toggled. I just think it does not show enough information to enable easier instrument awareness for learning pilots.
