Will the spinner on the 109 ever work?

This is about as low-priority as it gets, but I think it would be great if the spinners on the 109 worked. It'd look really cool!

I should wait for custom skins, I dont know if now it is represented in any 109, but for sure the skins made by the community will make it, in Clod it is like that and in 46!

Well you can see them on the G2 and F4 in game. Not the spiral ones, but ones similar to this.

Yeah those started to be applied quite early on. I think I've seen something similar in Emils during the Battle of Britain.

 

The spirals however, I think came later.

Ohh, interesting! I thought they were just two different types, not a continuation.

There was propably some sort of overlap, but I have never seen the spiral pattern on any 109 earlier than a G-6.

Were these decorative, or a warning like the yellow tips on most American and modern propellers?

Propably a reminder to the ground crew that the prop is spinning.

It is there to hypnotize enemy on headon attack

They for used to give the illusion of cannon fire. Since the cannon fired through the spinner, the alternating black-white patterns at high speed made it look like it was being fired.
