I heard Rise of Flight was a benchmark so I downloaded and ran the game at roughly medium settings (1920x1080) and it ran smooth with a reasonable amount of planes in the air. There were no FPS issues or choppiness.

Now, with Battle of Stalingrad, with anymore than about 7-8 planes flying in multiplayer/solo, even at the lowest setting/low resolution I have quite low FPS/choppy gameplay to the point that it is basically unplayable. Trying to find out if my comp is simply not enough for this game.

My comp specs are:

Processor Intel® Pentium® CPU G860 @ 3.00GHz, 3000 Mhz, 2 Core(s), 2 Logical Processor(s)
Installed Physical Memory (RAM) 4.00 GB (can't remember brand but it was at least decent)
AMD Radeon HD 7800 Series 1024MB
Windows 7 64 Bit
~100 MB Hard Drive Space Free

I could also run War Thunder at absolute maximum at about 50 or so FPS. Let me know if you need any other information.

Thanks

I think you need a quad core CPU.

Also with only 100mb your hard drive is too full, not even possible to defrag..if SSD then that is not a problem

4GB ram is the absolute minimum and as said above, your CPU is dual core and lowish clock speed, there may be further optimizations but your PC is at the edge of minimum requirements so things will not be ideal

If you enjoy what you experience so far with a small amount of A/C a modest upgrade will work wonders, you need a good current machine to get the best out of BoS but not necessary for a monster :)

Thanks for the replies.

Yeah, I figured I was pushing it a bit as I built the PC ~2 years ago and it was a budget build at that time. Perhaps through the development of the game it will be optimized some (as I seem to be able to play rise of flight just fine). Otherwise, I will just have to shelve this game until I eventually build another PC. The game is fun but it looks like War Thunder will have to do for the time being.
