Absolutely love the original IL2 series. I'm really looking forward to gathering up the old hands of JV44 to fly the 2014 version. Hmm, I guess we call the new and improved(?) version IL2-BoS? I can't wait to see some of my old friends on both sides of the conflict. If any old JV44 members see this post, stay in touch.

 

I'll be working on a new website for our squad. Hopefully, it will be operational in the coming year

It's been awhile since I've been on. I've been trying to learn how to build a new website for Jagdverband 44 (JV44). It's taking me some time as I've been out of the loop writing HTML and getting used to CSS. BTW, if you're interested in JV44's website, you can find it here: www.jagdverband44.com .

 

Hey Luth, it has been a very long time buddy. Dora said you were still around. I hope to see you soon - I know you pre-ordered!

 

@Imperator, I don't know if I'd call the historical JV44 full of superior pilots, there were quite of few "newbies". It just happened that JV44 had a fair number of famous & decorated pilots. Which, btw, I'm working on a list that includes all of JV44's historic pilots. The list will include # of missions & # of victories.

I don't know if this works well on other's machines, but it looks pretty neat on mine. Since I don't have the software to create a flash intro movie, I used a work around. I'm assuming most everyone has broadband, so the intro should work on most machines. If you're having issues with the webpage loading, please let me know. Your opinion is appreciated. By the way, Jagdverband 44 is now recruiting mature pilots in preparation for IL2:BoS' release next week

Good to see you here.

I was a member (for a short time though) of JV44. Tag JV44Tom.

Flown with you, Rall and Fehler in Forgotten Skies.

I think Fehler is still flying on AKA campaign... (I'm not 100% sure though).

 

I haven't been flying for almost 3 years now (got really mad with CloD fiasco, lol ) , but I'm looking forward to try Il-2 BoS.

It's been a long time but good to see you and JV44 again. You guys were my favorite squadron to fly along side of back in the old IL2 days. I've been talking with EcoDragon about BoS and am getting back in the saddle myself.

JV44 is back up and flying once again after a long hiatus. We're flying mostly on Finnish Virtual Pilots server. I hope to see all the old timers there, as well as, new pilots/squads. Good hunting gents.

I just updated the JV44 website. It's not complete, but I'd thought I'd throw it out there for others to critique. I'm too lazy to go the whole html path again, so I used Godaddy's web builder. It's limited to what you can do, but I believe it might be an option for some of the squads out there to to use.

is this the same JV44 from Janes World War 2 Fighters / Hyperlobby days??  If so that was on of the first virtual groups I was ever a part of.  Was there for a short period of time, can't say I really remember anyone's name as it was a long ass time ago.  I remember there was one guy I did a few custom missions with where we'd fly only first person with no visible waypoints or any type of help, kind of similar to flying expert on IL-2 I guess was really fun.  I don't even remember what I used as my name back then.... Fritz maybe...who knows that was a loooong time ago.
