II/JG17_HerrMurf Posted August 18, 2014 Posted August 18, 2014 Very nice. The last answer, however, is they are sorting custom skin implementation out right now.
Jade_Monkey Posted August 23, 2014 Posted August 23, 2014 Awesome. I would prefer it without the 77 but it looks great either way!
snowsnipersnow_sniper Posted August 30, 2014 Author Posted August 30, 2014 (edited) S! So a La-7 skin for the La-5? did i made an historical bug ? sorry I Though it was a La-5. If not, it looks closed to a la-5. should be interresting how you can see difference between la-5 and la-7 with the pic up ? Do you mind teach us a bit please. only because of that skin ? oh maybe i see: is it this airflow system just under the flaps ? Oh yes : and the canopy is not the same at the back I apologize. Wingnut Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 (edited) The easiest way to tell apart is the air intake on the 5 is on top of the cowl and on the 7 it's on the bottom of the fuselage under the cockpit and the cooler under side at the leading edge is removed on the La-7. In your photo above it looks like it is there but those are actually the center section gear doors LA 5 La-7 Edited September 12, 2014 by Wingnut
snowsnipersnow_sniper Posted September 12, 2014 Author Posted September 12, 2014 thank you for this ! everythings clear now !
Lusekofte Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 The LA-7 got metal wings also, didn't it ? La-5 had wood wings
Wingnut Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 (edited) I believe the La-7 upgraded to just a metal spar. It wasn't till the La-9 that it became an all metal aircraft and with the improved wing they got rid of the leading edge slats. La-9 Edited September 12, 2014 by Wingnut
II/JG17_HerrMurf Posted September 13, 2014 Posted September 13, 2014 Wing, Who did the three view line drawings? They are pretty nice. Murf
Wingnut Posted September 14, 2014 Posted September 14, 2014 I wish I could give due credit for the line drawings but I just got them off the web and can't find any reference to the talented person.
