II./JG27_Rich Posted August 8, 2013 Posted August 8, 2013 (edited) I guess it was shipped over from the States. Now Trautloft has it Edited August 8, 2013 by Richie
II./JG27_Rich Posted August 8, 2013 Author Posted August 8, 2013 I found it at "as is biz" witch I'm sure you've heard of Foobar because some of your skins are up there. http://www.asisbiz.com/index.html
II./JG27_Rich Posted August 9, 2013 Author Posted August 9, 2013 (edited) Long time ago I've done my last skin Your's are always my JG27 skins Edited August 9, 2013 by Richie
BlitzPig_EL Posted August 9, 2013 Posted August 9, 2013 That model was pretty rare, even in the day. We have the coupe version of it in the museum I work for.
Lord_Haw-Haw Posted August 9, 2013 Posted August 9, 2013 (edited) Well don´t forget Ford has a plant in Cologne, and many models are a bit differant than the ones in North America. Edited August 9, 2013 by Lord_Haw-Haw
II./JG27_Rich Posted August 9, 2013 Author Posted August 9, 2013 (edited) My friend has a Ford Ranger with a V6 in it that's made in Colonge. I completely forgot about that. Crazy the stuff that comes up in conversations Edited August 9, 2013 by Richie
Foobar Posted August 9, 2013 Posted August 9, 2013 I don't think that 01A DeLuxe convertibles have been built in Köln.
Lord_Haw-Haw Posted August 9, 2013 Posted August 9, 2013 I have no idea Foo, but I have seen North American Ford models and they are differant than the ones being sold in Europe. Tell the people about a Ford Galaxy or a Ford Taunus in North America and they will look at you as if you where drunk.
Foobar Posted August 9, 2013 Posted August 9, 2013 Today it's different anyway. I thought we've talked about circumstances of about 1937
BlitzPig_EL Posted August 10, 2013 Posted August 10, 2013 For clairification, that is a US built 1940 Deluxe in the photo. Also a few Taunus models were sold in the US by Ford, but not many. The "Galaxie" name first appeared in the US market in the 1959 model year. It designated the highest trim level on the largest chassis Ford available here. The name was used into the 70s. And as an aside I owned a German built 2.8 litre Capri for a number of years. They were imported by Ford and sold through their Mercury brand dealer network. It was one of the better cars I have owned in my almost 60 years on the planet. And yes, it was a proper silver color.

BlitzPig_EL Posted August 11, 2013 Posted August 11, 2013 Yes, except for the lack of the modern hot rod stuff on the pic you linked to.
II./JG27_Rich Posted August 11, 2013 Author Posted August 11, 2013 (edited) My dad was in the RCMP and they used those Fords for a time after the war and loved them but later in life he switched and became a huge Mopar fan as am I 60s early 70s Edited August 11, 2013 by Richie
