Currently CloD and IL2-46.  Also forming on BoS at the earliest opportunity.  Come and fly with us and the rest of the combat flight sim community.  Our members can be found on TeamSpeak most nights of the week, especially on our squad nights which are Sun and Wed from 20.00 hrs local UK time.  Please see the above link for further details.

Happy landings,

Wow!  This entry is old!  I had better update it.

56 sqn RAF currently fly exclusively on BoX though there are some members who dabble in DCS and Flying Circus as well.

Most of our members are of an 'advanced' age but we also have some in their 30s & 40s (To be honest I am not sure as nobody asks).

Currently we have a hard core of about 6-8 flying regularly on Sundays & Wednesdays from about 8pm to 10pm.   Sometimes two or three will meet up on other nights unofficially and fly casually.

We are mostly British but our current Leader is Polish and another senior member is Dutch.

We have no entry qualification. Most people join by just asking to fly with us a few times and then sticking around.   If you can take-off and land and are willing to fly as part of a pair then you will be OK.

We don't fly 'air display' wingtip formations. We usually a combat spread around 400-800yds apart and we are patient if it takes you a while to improve your ability to stay with your leader.

We aim to fly as a group and stay alive and return to base together so suicidal types who only want to get kills, die and relaunch alone to do it again will not fit in.

We use our own Teamspeak server broken down into flights when necessary.

We fly most Red aircraft but on squad nights we probably fly Spitfires and Yak1bs or Yak7bs more than any others and you will be given a personal skin for these and a few others.  We also fly PE2s, A20s and P47s when we want to destroy things.  When it comes out, the Tempest will probably be added to our favourites.   We have a pair who frequently fly Blue in VR.
