SharpeXB Posted November 21 Posted November 21 I have the Thrustmaster T.Flight rudder pedals but am unable to assign the toe brakes to the wheel brakes in the game. It won't recognize the inputs. The yaw axis is recognized but not the brakes.
AndyJWest Posted November 21 Posted November 21 They work for me. I'd double check you are selecting the correct inputs. And don't forget that some aircraft (mostly British & Soviet) don't use brake pedals at all - they use a lever on the joystick, which is mapped to another input.

I’m trying to assign Wheel Brakes Right and Left. The input from the toe axes isn’t recognized. Yes I get the difference between aircraft but I’m just trying to assign them in the command menu.
Aapje Posted Friday at 02:32 PM Posted Friday at 02:32 PM (edited) Did you check with Game Controllers that Windows recognizes it when you press the brake pedals? Edited Friday at 02:32 PM by Aapje
AndyJWest Posted Friday at 02:33 PM Posted Friday at 02:33 PM Odd. This is where mine are set: I'm not using the Thrustmaster custom software for the pedals, but instead have Windows recognise them as a standard game controller (they really aren't doing anything that needs special treatment). Could that be the issue?
giftgruen Posted Friday at 03:00 PM Posted Friday at 03:00 PM Do you maybe have too many devices ( since probably the pedals are new ) ? 8 devices is the limit afaik. But since you have yaw input this is probably not the case. However, maybe there is also a limit on "axis" ? You can e.g. try to use joystick gremlin to create virtual devices ( which is what I do )

I reinstalled GB and maybe it picked up a bunch of other controllers I don’t use. I wonder what would happen if I just delete the input folder. Which file has the custom response curves? I am replacing the stick and throttle too so I don’t need to keep any of those assignments. Just the curves. Edited Friday at 03:13 PM by SharpeXB
SharpeXB Posted Saturday at 12:56 AM Author Posted Saturday at 12:56 AM I deleted the contents of the input folder and retried from scratch. It doesn’t work. The game won’t detect the input. It will detect the rudder but not the brakes. Windows and other games work fine.
FlyingH Posted Saturday at 01:39 PM Posted Saturday at 01:39 PM Sometimes the game requiers many presses of the brakes before it registers the input! Be stubborn and go for it! (Then it may also register the presses reversed but that is easily fixed by checking the reverse button) 1

Hold the pedal down before trying to assign it then release. Since the menu asks for “increasing” the input first. That worked since they need to be reversed.

Maybe the devs never noticed the issue, because different rudder pedals seem to map the axes inconsistently. Glad you've got it sorted, anyway.
