Mysticpuma Posted Tuesday at 09:58 AM Posted Tuesday at 09:58 AM (edited) Literally, as it says. I created this a few years back just to show how great CloD is when it comes to aircraft density in the air, in flak and being attacked by 109's. This is not going to be very rewarding 🤪, it really is a case of starting the mission above hundreds of Wellington bombers while you attack in your 109. Created to show just how far CloD can be pushed, there is no end to the mission, you literally get a chance to fly in a sky full of aircraft, all the while under attack from flak. FPS will be low unless you are running a godlike PC 😂, it really was a short mission, created to see just what can be done in the game engine. This was a video I created from it a long time ago, but I only just rediscovered the mission on an old hard drive, so I thought, as computers have advanced so much, maybe it would be 'fun' for others to try. Please don't have expectations of a fantastic, well-built, rewarding mission, you literally are in a 109, in flak against hundreds of Wellington bombers....and you are their target Two variations, one at sunset, one at high sun. Extract the files and copy the mission files into this folder: Documents\1C SoftClub\il-2 sturmovik cliffs of dover\missions\Single https://www.mediafire.com/file/4auuaneyw170up1/200+Wellingtons+tech+demo+stress+test.rar/file Edited Tuesday at 10:05 AM by Mysticpuma 7
paul_leonard Posted Thursday at 02:16 PM Posted Thursday at 02:16 PM Reposting from the ATAG forum. Very cool and interesting mission! Imagine 200 B-17’s!!!! I’m going to spend more time with this. Last night I ran it at 4K/VeryHigh on my 2060 laptop and my 5090 rig. 4fps on the laptop and 25 on the 5090. But the weird part is that I then re-ran at 2K/Medium and I got the same results???? Then I noticed that you have placed 850 88’s as AAA!!!!! Wow. That should overload CPU using so much A.I. so I put them to sleep (/timeout 720) and re-ran. Same results. Huh. Gonna have to rerun with FPS/monitoring software.
Buffo002 Posted Thursday at 03:03 PM Posted Thursday at 03:03 PM I don't know if laptops are suitable for such demanding games because they heat up quickly. I think a desktop PC is the best for that, just the free space for ventilation. 1
paul_leonard Posted Thursday at 10:11 PM Posted Thursday at 10:11 PM I build my missions on my laptop. It’s 2D work and I generally get 40fps in 4K on Very High. Yes the fan runs a lot but I can work anywhere. VR is my 5090 desktop. 1
