FuriousMeow Posted November 15 Posted November 15 Is there any chance of getting the paddle blade prop modeled in the FM for the P47? The audio sounds like the paddle blade, the visual model seems to be a symmetrical uncuffed paddle blade prop but the performance is pencil blade. It takes over 20 minutes to reach 30k ft, with a paddle blade it would be around 13 minutes. Just so odd to have that disconnect, and it would be nice to have the performance of P47 post 1943. https://www.368thfightergroup.com/P-47.html Not the best source but agrees with everything I've found, starting with the D-22 the paddle blade was factory standard. 1
MDzmitry Posted November 15 Posted November 15 More info on P-47 trials, including comparisons of different props. https://wwiiaircraftperformance.com/wwiiaircraftperformance.org/p-47/p-47.html 1

Both 47s in the sim are already modelled with their relevant paddle props 3D model wise and in FM. D22 has the 13ft Hamilton hydraulic prop and the d28 has the smaller 12ft AO smith one. FuriousMeow Posted Monday at 05:03 PM Author Posted Monday at 05:03 PM I must have done something wrong then, the climb to 30k matched pencil blades not paddle. Well, see when I have a half hour to kill again to test. 1
