Valis Posted November 12, 2025 Posted November 12, 2025 Is there some reason why the devs haven't done the Battle of Britain? Seems an obvious choice. Are the devs legally obliged to avoid a BoB expansion because they're also selling CLoD?
Kubert Posted November 12, 2025 Posted November 12, 2025 The true scale of Battle of Britain cannot be achieved with the current limitations of the Great Battles engine. I would rather see it as a module for a new series in the future. 2

CLoD was separated from 1CGS, and they now have both a different developer team and publisher. 1CGS have explained that there are no restrictions on what settings they can do, but they decided in the past that competing directly doesn't make much sense. However, as CLoD gets older and older, they might no longer see it as direct competition. The new Korea engine also allows big bombing formations, which can make a more realistic BoB campaign happen, so perhaps 1CGS will do a BoB module once they return to Europe. However, that can be many years in the future. However, for the short term, we will get two Korea modules and then probably at least two Pacific modules. 1 1
