AEthelraedUnraed Posted November 18 Posted November 18 Nope, and I don't think they'd be of much use. AFAIK there's only very little hooks that any Python library could hook into. Is there any specific reason you're asking this? What would you like to find in a Python library, if it existed? 1
JG7_X-Man Posted November 19 Author Posted November 19 (edited) Well I have always thought about augmenting where Pat Wilson has got us and see if I could use my little Python skills to do that. The dream: Merge PWCG with TAW for a single player off line play. I think I will find a way to unpack the .gtp files to get an up to date list of objects, assets, locations etc... AEthelraedUnraed Posted November 19 Posted November 19 (edited) Also, it's technically possible to hook into the GUI layer, to get a list of all aircraft and their positions, updated every 5s or so. That's how I created my radar code. I only know how to do that using flash widgets though, which are written in AS3. Of course, using flash widgets has its own downsides; e.g. you can't speed up or pause the game if they're active. I solved this issue by intentionally orphaning a thread so that the game thinks there are no widgets running, while there is. Orphaning threads is usually not a good idea at all. If you think of anything I should know or could help - drop me note! Thank you so much!
JG4_Deciman Posted November 19 Posted November 19 BTW: Same file used toe extract the 'Scripts' and parse the loadouts for every plane (for using them in the mission editor) Deci 1
