What's going on with ROF and FC?

I bought ROF when it was new but now I can't find it anywhere.  Is it still possible to  download it?   It was a good game and I did pay for it and would like to play it.

Now it looks like you can't download FC anymore either?   Some of the missions and campaigns are in the BOS GUI but that's not the same thing is it?  I can't find the practice and tutorial missions anywhere.

Any comments on where to access this material are welcome.

RoF downloader is on the Rise of Flight website:

https://riseofflight.com/download/

If you log in with your old RoF account details, you should have access to all the old content which you bought back in the day.

FC is a module within BOS, and not a standalone game. So you have to download and install BOS and then log in with your BOS account to access the FC content. As far as I know, there arent any tutorial missions for FC like there were for RoF, but there are pre-built missions for each volume in the "Flying Circus" section under Missions in game. So, you should see missions for all the planes you own in that section.  You can also use the quick mission generator in BOS to fly quick missions with the WW1 planes on the Western Front map, so that is kinda like a tutorial mission in a way..

EDIT: you can also choose the Western Front theater when you create a career in the career mode, so that is how you access the FC career..

Not quite right Flashy old boy. 🙂 Yes, it's not standalone, as it's (unfortunately) tied to GB where some WWII updates can cause strange anomalies with FC. But you don't need to download BOS (or any other GB module) to get any FC module. Maybe with steam, I don't know, but you can purchase any FC module direct from 1C as I did (at full price mind 🙂) without the need for any WWII stuff.

Too right Catchy old chap, if you dont have any of the modules then you can just buy FC, but you still need to download the BoS/BoX installer thing first. I saw he had BOS already though, so I just said BOS.

As for Tank Crew, do you need Bos as well? I bought an FC license for my grand son last sale.

I still have a Bos license valid on Steam, can i transfer that license to his steam account? if needed?

You dont need a BoS licence, no. But you do need to install the base game using the BOS/BOX installer.. and then just login with your account details.

Back to Rise of Flight. I bought it some years ago, inspired by good ole Beebop, but never got really involved with it, but just now i got interested again because of the above.

One good thing i remember from my first tryouts was that it has some waterplanes, as did IL2-2946 with a Catalina i still miss today with GB.

Now i found that my then TM Warthog setup keymappings doesn't work no'mo' , due the unchangeable Joy ID settings in ROF; i really have to redo it all.

Also maybe because i got an AVA base replacing the old magnetic TM base. Any tips on how to get the ID's set changed in RoF ... welcome!

BTW i remember Syn Vander's horses mod, and wonder if there ever were player drive-able vehicles or tanks, maybe in mod ... ?, guess not.

found a pic, but in what mod are they located ?:

These are in the editor under 'Vehicles'.

Try Guncarriage and ammowagon.
