Phlaming Pfalz

When playing with" Mods" I tend to get several smoke and flame anomolies, but the worst is anytime a Pfalz D-III is in game play, itt ALWAYS appears to be complettely engulfed in flames.A formation of these 'flaming coffins" is quite a sight to see.It has been this way since the VR /Mods has been involved ; also heavy exhaust smoke from some WW1 planes as well, but this is absolutely the worst effect.Other than not playing with mods on does anyone else have any suggestions?

You would need to post a list of enabled mods to help people help you.

It does this with "Mods" on even if np mods are activated. Could it be a non reversable addition from a long ago Mods addition?

Yes, that's what it sounds like. You may try deleting the update folder and start the launcher. IIRC this will check the files and replace any that may be corrupted. If the problem is still there delete and reinstall.

Good luck :salute:

Yes the update folder. Located in the main game folder. As you can see in the image above, uninstall program (unins000.exe) is located here too.

I'll give it a try- I'd like to solve this before the Zepplin/floats/staggers  flys into the sim!

That appeared to work! Many thanks - this has been a problem for a very long time and here the solution was pretty simple all along! Now to start adding Mods carefully...Many thanks!

If you are using JSGME (hopefully you are because manually installing mods will easily get you back into the same trouble you just fixed) make sure you never interrupt it (eg force it closed) while it is enabling or disabling mods. This can cause pieces of mods to be left installed.
