Vishnu Posted October 28 Posted October 28 (edited) I accidently tried to move my head a little forward in the cockpit in VR and hit F10. It's a little too close, so I adjusted, now I'm completely outside the cockpit. I tried moving my VR headset around to different spots physically in front of my computer, but it "drifts" and doesn't stay. It also "jumps". I tried hitting "5" many times to reset but it only puts me back to where I originally hit f10, outside the cockpit. Anybody else have this problem? Any help would be appreciated. Jaegermeister Posted October 28 Posted October 28 Try turning on limited head movement and it should put you back in the cockpit 1
Milktoast770 Posted October 29 Posted October 29 Having just gone through settings to get my psvr2 working I can relate. Sometimes my view would be off centre and I was always trying to adjust it. What I found worked for me was binding the default VR view (in camera settings) to a joystick button. Now if my view is out a little I just look straight ahead and press that button to reset my view. 1
giftgruen Posted October 29 Posted October 29 Imho you need two commands - and in VR: having both mapped to buttons is a good idea. - set pilot head position ( I believe ... NumPad 5 is standard here (?) ) - recenter VR ( I believe ... F10 is standard here (?) ) 1
[CPT]Crunch Posted October 29 Posted October 29 No, F10 is save current view position, has nothing to do with recentering. I put three commands on one button, recenter VR, F1 return to cockpit, and recenter necksafer. With external views enabled everytime you jump back into cockpit view it automatically does a recenter. 1 1
NuVen Posted October 30 Posted October 30 (edited) In the ...\IL-2 BoX\data\LuaScripts\snapviews folder, select the *.svc file that corresponds to the plane you need to adjust. For instance, for the Yak 1 Ser 127 aircraft, open yaks127.svc in notepad. Of course, save a version yaks127.svc.BAK before making any changes. The first line contains cvc (cockpit view center), the numbers correspond to these reference points: `+tilt up `-rotate left `+ forward `+upwards `-left `-1 = 150 FOV `-tilt down `+rotate right `- back `-downwards `+right `1 = 30 FOV These are the settings I have used for the Yak fighter planes: cvc = 0.000, 0.000, -0.180, 0.010, 0.000, -0.700; Once you set the cockpit view center point, if at the natural position for you in the cockpit and then press the centering button (5), your position will be at this center point. If you move forward and hit the center view button again, your view will move backwards. It seems the centering button is relative to the center point set in the svc file. Once you have a setting that doesn't change your position when you are at a comfortable seating position and press the centering button, set the properties of the *.svc file to read only. The FOV setting doesn't seem to affect the FOV in VR. Edited October 30 by NuVen
