IL2 Controller Input Handling - is there a 'fast reconfigure' ?

I learned a lot today

 

Simply wanted to install a WinWing TakeOff Panel V1 that I shot cheaply 2nd-hand.

What was intended an easy go, kept me busy a rainy sunday afternoon.

 

First, I learned that IL2 can only handle momentary buttons.

( Well - to be honest I knew this already cause also my Virpil Throttle has some buttons that are not simply momentary, but I ignored this )

 

So, I ended up with software like HidHide, vJoy, Jostick Gremlin which I didn't need so far.

There was some learning for me, but the great macro abilitys of joystick gremlin now enabled me to have my 109s 

configured quite well. Next will be the 190s and then some other types I seldom fly.

 

So ... now my question:

 

Remapping / Reconfiguring something in joystick gremlin needs me to restart IL2 again ( and again and again ... )

Is there any cheap trick to avoid this ? Means: re-bind / re-macro in Gremlin and immediately have access to this in IL2 ?

 

( Btw: Somehow strange that IL2 does support only momentary buttons - there are a lot of toggles, rotarys, wwitches  and so on in the controller world. I mean - needing a tool like Gremlin is okay, but somehow twirky and IL2 itself could offer more here )
