Heliks Posted Saturday at 10:19 AM Posted Saturday at 10:19 AM Good day, Yesterday I re installed the game after a long flightsim hiatus, ended up with the "Failed to Update" message of doom. I then red the past threads and did pretty much everything, from simply deleting the content of "updates", modifying the startup.cfg to include the login and allow for p2p download, check the firewall and add exceptions. Nothing works, and I keep getting the same log: " BOS update library 32e64 (build date: Mar 4 2020, libcurl/7.65.3 OpenSSL/3.0.0, open-vcdiff/BOS-mod+) Windows locale code page is: 850 free disk size: 1197961666560 Loading game config. =+= Current settings =+= General: recovery mode: no forced version: not forced installation script: enabled keep user .svc: disabled Downloader: downloading: allowed proxy trick: enabled rollback size: 0 bytes max timeout: 1800 seconds connect timeout: 360 seconds request mirror: yes max timeout retries: 1000 max partial requests: 1000 max mirror retries: 1000 Updater: cache slot size: 2048 kBytes cache slots: 64 Sysinfo: verbose: forced Trying master server il2bosrd1.s3.amazonaws.com version info: tag: 25-10-01 snapshot md5: 9C96482FBBF9000B9BDD382FA4BE1599 patches info md5: 3AC1175D2F91935E699F75D212B652AD packs info: id: 1 pack md5: 59820ADAEC6799AEEFC276C6C216841B info md5: 5CDD8A2A23A0E4F6D834DA9615DB74DB pack size: 2137179 info size: 10148 id: 2 pack md5: 02F981570006EC4DAB27CA408CFF41BB info md5: E2330921BC80C97B4328F2484495F713 pack size: 5990 info size: 2862 id: 3 pack md5: 0C380FEBC90B12DDD00EC9E11DC761B7 info md5: EB3B76886337CA636BC214EA9E9E29E9 pack size: 480216551 info size: 1148821 id: 4 pack md5: EFF3AF0A787E68BEFB26115BD815E68B info md5: 2EEE27E26633427D76ED41E875C21142 pack size: 4225247 info size: 1199 Latest version: 25-10-01 Failed to load current snapshot. I am afraid to say I did do that too, to no avail.. It also returned the same log. I am on windows 11 without defender but Avast in place, which has been disabled along with the remaining agents. 1
Freidenker01 Posted Saturday at 03:49 PM Posted Saturday at 03:49 PM I'm having the exact same problem here. (turned off firewall, turned off antivirus, executed as admin, etc.) I went all the way to a fresh install - even to the default folder, just to be sure. (And I was trying between friday to monday as suggested on the game setup and settings FAQ page under "5) What if launcher does not update the game?") Please give us a quick fix. Or at least include the gamefiles in the installer download so that we can play at least an unpatched version. 1
MajorMagee Posted yesterday at 12:02 AM Posted yesterday at 12:02 AM I wonder if this is a leftover from the AWS problem this past week?
