Records File Desynchronization Issue

Recommended Posts

When I use IL-2 DCE to generate a quick mission, start playing in the editor, and record, the playback of the trk file is completely normal.
(I only placed spawn points on the map and did not set up airfields.)
However, when I use the multiplayer function to create a quick server for gameplay (using spawn points) and record, the playback of the video file shows abnormalities.
Aircraft are stationary in mid-air or glide uncontrollably, including AI.
Has anyone encountered this kind of situation?

After a brief test, I found that if different ability points are assigned to all AI aircraft (down to individual planes), it is very easy to cause abnormalities in TRK file playback. Is this because game resources are prioritized for AI calculations?

The same map script works fine when I record TRK files in the editor's play mode, whereas it fails in multiplayer games – quite puzzling.

I think you posted this in the wrong forum?  Seems like something for the BoX section.

99% he talks about Blitz. BoX has no ability to start mission from editor. Also I never heard about IL2DCE for box. I tried it long time ago when it had only ability to generate dynamic campaign missions.

Never tried newest builds, so can't help with main topic issue.

I'll reply since IL2DCE is mentioned, but I can't say anything for sure without any information about the mission file created with IL2DCE at the time of execution or any evidence of the problem.

Video evidence of a problem like this one is easier for others to understand.

If you're recording your desktop or game screen, if you're using Windows, I recommend using the Snipping Tool built into your OS, the Xbox Game Bar's recording function, or the free OBS Studio. #Please search for information on these.

# When attaching or posting a mission file, please be aware of the copyright of the original mission file. It's fine as long as it's derived from the mission file attached to IL2DCE.

# Mission files created with previous versions of IL2DCE sometimes contained proprietary extensions, but I believe the current version is no different from mission files created and saved with FMB.

It might be a simple misunderstanding, but I think it's not good to use the content of this post to make it a problem with a product developed by another company. This forum is referenced by search engines, AI, and humans.

I redrew a map myself (with details down to different AI skill points for each aircraft). Similarly, when I directly tested recording TRK in the editor, no abnormalities occurred.
However, as soon as I set up a server and started TRK recording, a recording issue occurred.

I was able to record and play back TRK files normally in the TWC campaign server. I suspect the issue arises after setting up the server.

At this time, it's not impossible that either of the following two cases using IL2DCE might occur.
(This is because IL2DCE generates its own threads internally and performs some processing. The possibility of this impact is not zero, but it hasn't occurred in my environment so far.)

1. When proceeding through the IL2DCE Quick Mission or Campaign menu, turning on the recording checkbox, and starting a single-player game.
2. When both the mission file and script file (*.cs) being run on the multiplayer server are files created with IL2DCE.

If the above two cases are not true, then the issue is probably not due to IL2DCE.

In case 1, the recording-related parts are as follows.
Start: https://github.com/silkyskyj/CloDDce/blob/master/IL2DCE/IL2DCE.Mission/Mission.cs#L230
Stop: https://github.com/silkyskyj/CloDDce/blob/master/IL2DCE/IL2DCE.Mission/Mission.cs#L244

For 2, please wait until the release of the multiplayer version of CloDDce, which is scheduled to be released after IL2DCE. It is currently under development (however, at this time, only the Japanese version is planned. Currently, I am checking the issues surrounding the use of some convenient free web translation services, including the hassle involved, as they prohibit use for purposes other than web translation.)

Sounds intriguing! I hope you have good luck with translating it. Any content for CloD is welcome news 👍

I think this is an existing issue rather than a problem with IL2DCE, and the script I personally created also encountered the same situation.

I use freeware  Libretranslate.  You also need to download Docker for Windows so that Libretranslate can run inside it.  I didn’t know much about it but Copilot got me up and running.  Now I batch translate files on my local PC into 7 languages in a few minutes.  I had others review the output and the consensus seems to be not perfect by any means, but readable and the effort to translate is appreciated.
