Hi everyone

I am looking for some help please. I am having issues whereby I was setting up my HOTAS and in the 'settings' menu alll my inputs are being recognised. However when I went in game nothing worked - flight controls, guns etc.

I thought it may have been a clash with other controllers from my sim racing rig. I then uninstalled IL2 (with Revo) and reinstalled but still the same issue persists. I ensured all my sim racing controllers were off as I have a bypass to ensure that I can switch from sim racing to flight sim peripherals/monitors etc.

My system is an RTX5090, AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D, 64GB DDR5 6400Mhz. I have a Virpil HOTAS setup with Mongoos T-50CM3 base, FLANKR joystick, Mongoos T-50CM3 Throttle and a Virpil Universal Controller #3 which is slaved to my throttle quadrant.

So there is no issue with PC capability and my HOTAS hardware works on DCS etc but not on IL2. I can't for the life of me figure this one out so any help would be hugely appreciated.

Hi giftgruen - I tried to do that but it wouldn't let me. I have saved all my input settings to 'Global' and when I went to assign it to an aircraft I would try and click 'Global' from the drop down box but it wouldnt allow me to click it and use it.

Hm, should also work with the GLOBAL profile but I never tried this.

Maybe give it a try and create a specific profile like e.g. WW2_FIGHTER, configure your joystick axis within this new profile - and then use this profile for your plane. You will anyway need different profiles for different planes to have the mappings ideal.

If this doesnt work: Since you setup is quite 'complicated' maybe give it a try and just connect ONLY your stick directly to PC USB

( without bypassing anything or so ).  Just to sort out that it is an USB issue or so.  If this is okay, you can add device by device

and so see which one causes the issue.

Check your joy ID numbering-order with USB game controllers in windows, and if needed correct the numbering in devices.txt (input folder)

Maybe first uninstall al 'dead' old USB drivers wit USBdeview.exe. (the white ones, under file-uninstall).

Hey jollyjack - thanks very much - that worked!!!! I used USBdeview and removed the white ones and then everything worked great. Must have been some conflict somewhere. Thank you SO much - it is hugely appreciated.

Also, giftgruen - thank you for your input, help and assistance also. Much appreciated

Thank you gentlemen.
