The Enemy is at the Gate with Europe in Flames! 

Announcing JG1's newest WWII combined arms event where you can participate as an intrepid pilot or a steadfast tanker... or both!

 

As fall is waning with the promise of winter's brutal conditions soon to come, the Russian forces are faced with a German thrust to capture the strategic town of Vyazma. If the Germans succeed, they will be well on the way to threatening Moscow. Both sides are steadfast in their resolve to accomplish their respective missions... the Germans to advance and encircle the Russians and the Russians to hold and inflict unsustainable losses on the Germans.

 

This event is strictly player vs. player with the exceptions of AI supply columns, trains and the static defenses at the capture points. The success of this event is highly dependent on player participation.  For maximin team play, tankers will be needed.

Registration is mandatory and will stop 24 hours before each weeks mission start but we will make every attempt to include late registrations up to the server launch. We may be too overwhelmed though so don't count on just showing up at the last minute. We will not be allowing bulk registrations by squadron commanders (or any others for that matter) unless the person doing the registration can provide each and every individual's "Certainty of attending".

Dates of the event will be every Saturday, Nov 1st, 8th, 15th and 22nd with combat starting at 11:00 AM San Francisco time (please convert to your local time since the clocks will be shifting).

There will be no Dry Run but there will be practice missions running on our server in the weeks prior to event start. It is a Fox3 server (BIG shout out to Fox3!) with the mission title "battle of vjazma" or something similar. JG1 will be running practice Tues and Thurs at 6:00 PM San Francisco time and all are welcome.
