Problems with my Logitech Extreme 3D Pro joystick and firing machine guns and cannons

I'm having some problems with firing weapons, as sometimes they don't fire or sometimes they keep firing when I press the trigger just once. It seems to be some kind of bug, but if I assign those functions to the keyboard, this problem doesn't occur. 
My joystick is fine. I use it in IL2 Sturmovik: Great Battles and it works perfectly.

Once I had issue with joystick inputs. I had second joyskick (throttle quadrant) and one of lever by accident was in very bottom position. At that position it was constantly emulating virtual button always down. When I figured out what's going on I just raised that lever and issue gone.

So, make sure you do not have other joysticks with one of buttons always pressed (like switch).

Hello and thank you for your prompt response. Please excuse my poor English; I am using a translator. 

I only have one joystick connected to my PC. The problem only occurs with machine gun and cannon firing actions. It is a bit strange; it seems to function irregularly in COD. Sometimes it does not respond, and sometimes it keeps firing without me holding down the trigger.

How does your joystick act with other games or the Windows joystick applet, joy.cpl? What you've described isn't a known issue but a failing button (switch) could cause this. Are machine guns and cannons fired with the same button? Try changing them to a different button on the stick to see if it is just a single failing button.

Works perfectly in Il2 Stalingrad Great Battles

Which version of CLOD do you have installed? Is it one of the older ones with "anthropomorphic controls" in realism options? If so, check if this option is disabled.
