Meyham Posted Friday at 01:19 PM Posted Friday at 01:19 PM Can someone explain to me what the team sides are used for and how to use them ? I have done a few experiments made an online mission designating 3 airbases , setting the airbase buildings and static aircraft as well as a sitting ai aircraft to red , green and yellow teams.. setting the online type to deathmatch. but how does it score ? I see in the final results it still only shows red team and blue team scoring, I dont have a blue team etc,, Am I really using this right ? Or is it for something totally different ? A good explanation would be greatly appreciated ,, or point me in a general direction to some kind of documentation .. ? Thank you
JG4_Deciman Posted Friday at 04:08 PM Posted Friday at 04:08 PM Hi There are 2 different things... 'Nations' and 'Coalitions' Nations are USSR, Germany, Italy, ... Coalitions are Axis, Allies and Neutral. You can set every 'Nation' to a 'Coalition' (what is done by default as the coalitions are known, so 'Germany' and 'Italy' are 'Axis' and 'USSR, USA, ...' are 'Allies') The 'strange' things happen when a 'Nation' is set to 'Neutral' (as coalition) Normally a 'Neutral' coalition should not be attacked and should not attack... When a player shoots at a 'Neutral' target - it is reported as friendly fire (what ist ok) When a player comes close to a 'Neutral' target that can fire any kind of weapons he should normally not be attacked... But in fact: Every 'coalition' thinks that and target in range NOT belonging to it's own coalition is an enemy. So even if you have a bomber set up to deliver food to wherever you want and try to escort him... If you are not in the 'Neutral' coalition yorself... You are an enemy for him and he will open fire.... Deci
