Sunbather Posted October 8 Posted October 8 I am interested in buying the new module but even when disregarding that we have only one single plane that isn't a version of one we already got, I am curious about the price point. As I understand it all previous modules were ~50€/60$ for the full release. And then the PREMIUM editions ended up costing 80$ which, I think, is justified for the additional content (2 additional planes). But why will the standard version of the Odessa and Leningrad module will be 80$ to begin with? Is it the premium edition and we might get collector planes further down the line if we buy the EA version?
MDzmitry Posted October 8 Posted October 8 From what I understand, the increase comes from the amount of maps, that being 2 completely different territories set in both 1941 and 1944. While aircraft are good, especially late-war Soviet additions, I think maps (and everything that comes with them like careers) make up ~80% of the price tag.

Kubert Posted October 8 Posted October 8 We shouldn't disregard planes which are versions of ones we already have. They'll add a lot of value to the game. I can't imagine early Odessa and Leningrad without early Yaks and LaGGs. In my opinion it is good decision to add them as core planes for the module and keep more unique planes, which served in more limited numbers, as collector planes for later. Also new maps can make opportunity for use of older planes for longer period. For example late Odessa and Leningrad can expand usefulness of La-5F, La-5FN, Yak-9, Bf-109 G6...planes now available only at the second half of Battle of Kuban.

Sorry if I am late the to the discussion but I would love to see these planes The first model aeroplane I ever built was the Fiat G.50. A present when I was aged 7, so I have fond memories. I also love the Blenheim. And the Brewster seems to be the hero of the Winter War.

Unfortunately we don't have updated information on those planes progress so far. Edited October 9 by 1PL-Husar-1Esk 1
YR-AndreiTomescu Posted October 9 Posted October 9 imho , the higher price is reflecting the fact that are actually 2 modules in one: Odessa and Leningrad. the number and type of included planes, and even the availability of future paid aircrafts is clearly....unclear ! 1
jollyjack Posted October 9 Posted October 9 The LS price IMO seems very fair for the content announced comparing to the others.
kraut1 Posted October 9 Posted October 9 (edited) Odessa and Leningrad offers the possibility to fly eastern front missions in a really huge time range between June41 to August44, especially on the Finnland/Leningrad map + the Winter War. And most of the new planes could be used for other existing maps / pilot careers too. So from my point of view the price ist okay. Note: Next week I will add the Yak-3 and the Ju87-D5 to the Courland Pocket44/45 Mod/EMG Mod and the BF109E4 to the BoB1940 Mod/EMG Mod. In respect of the future finnish planes my absolute favorite is the Blennheim because it would be suitable for 1940 BoF, BoB and 1941 RAF Bomber Command / Coastal Command missions. And with the Curtis 75 we would get the first french BoF fighter. Edited October 9 by kraut1 2 1
