DXGI_ERROR

Since the last update, I get DXGI_ERROR every time I hit "home" button to for example to check the interactive map in Frontline server or have some other webpage open. The game freezes and jams the pc, only working command then is Ctrl+Alt+Del to get task manager open. With it I can close the game and pc returns normal.

 

 

 

This issue never existed before. What might be the cause of it?

Any mods? Reshade? Find dxgi file in your installation and remove it.

No mods whatsoever. I tried removing dxgi.dll, system does not allow it. I run dx diag and according to it, everything's ok.

 

I have DirectX12 and that error message says DXRenderer11. Weird.

I do not have in game folder anything with DXGI in name.

I had before, while trying VRperfkit (it was dxgi.dll). Reshade can use file with same name.

I do not know what is problem on your pc, but dxgi should not be there in game folder if you didn´t put it there by yourself.

Dxgi.dll is Windows component in SysWOW64, not in IL-2. It comes with DirectX installation, .

Yes, this is same error but in different situation. Mine appears only when I hit "home" button when IL-2 is open. Otherwise it runs normally.

Update: Error fixed. Deleted the IL-2 from main disk C. Copypasted old version from storage disk D and updated it. The original error was fixed that way, but settings gave me grey hair.

 

All the possible view settings did not want to co-operate with me. Deleted input file from game approximately umpteen times and remade settings. When one bug was gone, another popped up and game forced view inputs intto a wrong controller.

 

Finally, after last input file delete, I removed TWCS throttle and programmed T16000. Then closed the game, connected TWCS and programmed it and restarted pc. Finally tank settings work. Haven't dared to made any attempts for plane settings yet...    🐱‍👤
