BF 110-G2 37mm vs HS-129 30mm Mk103

I have been testing these 2 loadouts  with AP  online  testing with another player that just spawns a tank and doesn't move.    Is it just me, or does the 103 seem like it does much more damage than the 37mm ? Some runs with g2 37mm   I don't even seem to be able to damage  a t34  or kv1.   Same angle attack with the 129 MK 103  yields much greater damage, more crew injuries/kills, more often and results in many more kills.   Am I alone in this assessment ?      I  have seen the 129 used vs tanks, but it is very rare online to see the 110 w/ 37mm used,  is the  lack of damage and kills the reason ?    Perhaps this should be posted in the bug section ?

Both guns penetrate up to 95mm - it is just that the 37mm does that at 500 metres and the 30mm does it at 300 metres.

 

What you might be noticing is the higher rate of fire of the Mk-103 causing more damage. Neither round is heavy enough to ensure a kill with a single penetration, so more rounds in a smaller area may be more likely to cause critical damage.
