Hey Gents

I'm doing some historical skins for FC and I can't seem to find this part of the fuselage any help in locating this part would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Have you tried using a panel finder as active layer creating your dds for the viewer, or adding one when not already present?

ADDED, i looked at the public template, no panel finder, but you could save a DDS with the wireframe active,

and maybe recognize its placing in the viewer?

Jolly not sure where to find a panel finder at. Taking a closer look at the skin in game I have a feeling where it might be at but thought some skinner might know. When I find it I’ll post in this thread

OK Guys here's one for you, I'm just about done my first skin for FC but I'm stumped with this section of the DV5a. Anyone know where this is located on the template. I've used every color chart and the wireframe, but I'm stumped as to where this is on the template. Any help is super appreciated. The colors in the pic below don't even show up on the color chart that was used in that order.

@JGr2/J5_W0LF- Look at the lower lh quarter.

I'm afraid that didn't do it.

If I change that color to blue in that section of the nose, it changes but does not affect the tail area. The tail area remains the same. Im stumped.

@JGr2/J5_W0LF- Ah, I see... That´s unfortunate...

Two issues here.

First: You´ve picked the wrong cover from the template, please see picture below. The one within the selection is the correct one.

Second, and that is the issue you cannot fix, that one cover from the template/the skin will appear in three different locations in the 3D-model within the game. You´ll find it once in the engine area and in the tail section twice. It gets recycled if you will, which is good. The problem arises, when you want the three areas in game to be painted differently from one another. What to do then? Hmmm, you can change your layout to avoid the area at all or you can choose the constellation, which annoys you the least. Or maybe leave the cover unpainted and declare it a feature? I mean, in the end, it is your skin and you can always claim, that is exactly, how you wanted it. 😉

Thanks mate I came to that same conclusion last night that it was being shared in other parts of the template. It seems to be some type of access door to working on the tail section so Ill have to leave it as is. Unless some other skinner has an answer to this. Thanks for your help Im going to post my skin in forum and in the skin downloader. Salute!
