PWCG Flying Circus: No ground aircraft to destroy at enemy airfields? No flying enemy bombers?

I've flown to airfields on my own and to airfields during a mission specifically to attack one. I do not believe I have ever seen an AI grounded plane in my 3 campaigns in flying circus. 

Come to think of it, I have never seen any Gothas or Handley-Pages either. Is this just a limitation or have I screwed something up somewhere?

Same here. Never had a Handley-Page so far as a prey in SP missions. Hundreds of SPADs and Camels.

I do understand there are very few bomber squadrons in the game, as far as PWCG goes, but I've deliberately chosen to transfer to squadrons located near those bomber airfields, and still nothing.
