P-47D-23-RA #42-27910 "Hun Hunter XIV" Code" #40 57th FG - 65th FS this was one of 16 aircraft that Squadron Cpmmander Gilbert Wymond named "Hun Hunter" It seems to be alive at the American Air Museum in Britain: https://www.americanairmuseum.com/archive/aircraft/42-27910 - Aircraft Type: P-47 Thunderbolt 42-27910, Nickname: Hun Hunter XIV - Unit: 57th Fighter Group 65th Fighter Squadron.
