We need a better way to play with friends.

Been trying for years to play with my brother in this game. Coop just me and him. We’ve tried lan, and Zeroteir. We both go to university and do not have access to the internet routers. What modern game makes it so hard to host and play together. I don’t understand and why hasn’t there been a fix to this. Super frustrating.

Well, if you play Single Player try Pat Wilson's Campaign Generator.  It handles Co-Op.

He's probably talking about all the port forwarding hurdles.

I just plug my computer ethernet cable directly to modem. I have no knowledge of how computer and communication works but it allows me to host coop server without issue.
