Hello guys, I am playing the Normandy campaign, now between june and july '44 with Bf.106-G6, G6 Late and G-14, but I noticed an odd way to perform missions.

When there are missions as "attack beachhaed" or "attack veichles column" I cannot load bombs, they are locked. I can load cannons for strafing targets. I think on this kind of targets, bombs would be much useful.

Instead, when there are missions "support defense" I can load bombs, although it is not easy to hit the tanks with bombs.

More, it is never expected to load external fuel tank.... neverthless in many pictures of war time the 109's carry very often the external fuel tank.

There are explanations for these curiosities of mine?

Ciao.

Bombs were not carried by German fighters after a certain date in June (I think it was around the 12th, it's mentioned in Caldwell's book on JG 26). After that, daylight attacks against Allied ground troops were either strafing attacks or carried out with the massive 21 cm rockets.

For the sim, external fuel system modeling was in development but never satisfactorily completed. Weight and balance problems I think. External tanks would be cosmetic only, so arguably not worth the trouble to add.

Many thanks for your explanations, guys!
