Blindspot Posted August 22 Posted August 22 Tldr: I would like to humbly request implementation of DirectX force feedback for our trusty rudders. I have absolutely no idea how difficult adding support for force feedback rudder pedals would be so you'll have to excuse my whining ahead of time. It seems like a real shame to use force feedback devices in this game without force feedback from the rudder. It is a primary control just like the the ailerons and elevator. It's a critical part of flying every aircraft in IL2 (taildraggers, high performance singles, Multi-Engine airctaft with inop engines, etc) and provides valuable feedback to the pilot (turning tendencies, control effectives, slip/skid condition, etc). From what I understand this would involve the game outputting telemetry data from the rudder (presumably in the same fashion the game outputs data from the ailerons/elevator). As force feedback devices are having a bit of a comeback (to my great excitement) I think this feature would be very well received! It would be an absolute pleasure to be able to use my DirectX enabled FFB rudders in IL2 getting actual feedback from the rudder. Thank you
