Help i have fallen and i can't get vr to work yet!!! Please read if your openxr savy

Hello all again and salute.

So, i managed to get the openxr and open composite to work, most all my games like half-life have gained a considerable frame rate boost.

However,....when i enter the il2 lobby i am like 10 feet above the menu. i can from receptiveness click on quick start and set up a duel.

However again, when i enter the sim i am not in the proper alignment and moving my head in the vr doesn't seem to move the same way with the steam app.

anyone else experience this in the past? I am feeling older by the day....iou

Most likely you need to re-center your headset (which one is it?), assuming you're already hitting the key in the IL2 settings to re-center VR (they're two separate functions).

I always hit the Default VR View button after loading into the game to recenter myself.

Num pad 5 to recenter by default.

The IL2 button has nothing to do with any particular headset.

Typically a headset will have its own re-centering function (usually through its controller).
IL2 has a centering function of its own.

If using NeckSafer, you can map both the NeckSafer centering function AND IL2's to the same button on your stick, or wherever. But if the headset itself is off-center the in-game result can be squiffy.

i found the recenter button on my quest 3 stick, however the problem is after recentering i am still like way above the menu board in the lobby. idk.iou

Go into IL2's key mapping section and find the VR Center entry (I forget which bit it's in). Bind a key on your stick (or use the default keyboard binding) and press that to center your menu and then your pilot's head in the cockpit.

You need to recenter the game, not the headset.
