VR Related - Can you play without having to run Steam VR rather than OpenXR, which increases system efficiency by 20%.

Other games run from Steam give the option to run in VR and do not require Steam VR to be opened.

Is there anything I can do do avoid using Steam VR? I see there's an option to use OpenComposite but that requires an additional download.

Having already connected the game to Steam as per the IL2 website, would disconnecting the two help?

If anyone has any ideas I'd appreciate it. Thanks.

Barring the developers of a game rewriting or augmenting its VR implementation OpenComposite is the only way for an OpenVR title to be "translated" to OpenXR.
