01.04.1944 SG.10 FW190-G3 Ground Attack Mission from Tiraspol / Odessa Map

Historical Situation

Between 01.04 - 10.04 during the Soviet offensive and the German retreat parts of SG.2, SG.3 and  SG.10 were operating from Tiraspol.

II./SG.10 used mostly FW190-G3:

Unit composition in April 44:

(I have choosen the available G3 Variant of the FW190-A6 / in EMG loadout "Bombs")

During the last days of march 1944 the Red Army entered the IL-2 Odessa map area from east and from north.

Odessa was liberated and the German forces had to retreat from Tiraspol too

Between ca. 15.April and 19.08.44 the front was comparable static.

 

Mission:

Attack on enemy supply column.

4x FW190-G, escorted by 2 BF109-G6

Mission design and how to fly:

-To be flown with realistic settings.

-GUI / HUD to be deactivated, you will get all informations by radio messages.

-additional audio warnings by wingmen and additional reports of enemy plane grid location.

(no Mod. required / original IL-2 Audio/Radio ger files used)

-stay close to any german planes to get warnings if enemy planes are closing.

-Ambient german / russian planes activated with random 60% each time the mission is started (when I flew the mission there was contact to enemy planes, but this will not be always happen)
