I have had fairly good success with the Quest 2 up until lately.   Now, It constantly disconnects.   I'm not sure why.    I have a really good chord, but  I constantly have to do a replug each time.   Anybody else having problems?   I've googled everything,  but nothing explains why it's happening so much now.

check your windows ...run  command or powershell, eventually in safe mode and as admin, sfc, the DISM routine.

Thanks....but I figured out the problem

For anybody that  cares, this has happened to me twice since owning the Quest 2.   My solution to the problem has both been the same.  Buy a new USB 3 Chord.

Fixed the problem right away.   Buy it from Amazon.  If it doesn't work, return it and find other solutions.   I bought the same chord I originally replaced first time.    Slipped the broken one into the bag and returned that one to Amazon.   Costs you nothing.  Problem solved.
