Panzerlang Posted July 27 Posted July 27 I did a search, nothing came up. So...will Korea have gun cams in the planes? No need for me to extoll the obvious virtues of all that. 2

FTC_Kongoo Posted August 8 Posted August 8 this would be a really neat addition. Something can be extracted and shared if enabled (doesn´t have to be high quality as were the cams back then)
Avimimus Posted August 9 Posted August 9 The ideal thing would be to have a mode that actually simulates the speed of the film and the aperture... one could then use the same system for photo-recon cameras, and simulate the quality of the photograph (assigning mission success based on it). I think the developers have a lot of other systems which are a higher priority though. What one can do is switch to a 'cockpit less' view, then adjust the FOV, crop the footage to the right diametre, adjust the frame rate (i.e. re-encode it as the correct framerate for the guncamera), and add artefacts in post... it should be possible to do a pretty good job with a video editor.
MajorMagee Posted August 9 Posted August 9 Yes, both air-to-ground and air-to-air was used. Also, Multi-Camera (Vertical and Oblique) Photo Recon would be cool if you could then stitch together photo-mosaics at the post-mission outbrief. or have the option to take night images by the light of flares or photo-flash bombs. 1
Aapje Posted August 9 Posted August 9 It would be cool to have photo recon missions where you can see the pictures you took of the target, afterwards. 1

Indeed, I've done that in the past but it's a fair bit of work. A gun-cam built into the sim would be x100 betterer. 😁 Edited August 9 by Panzerlang 1
sgt_fresh Posted August 13 Posted August 13 (edited) In GB we can replicate the gun cam view by selecting Alt + F2 in the mission record play back, scroll slightly forward and it looks similar. Example in this video at 06:10 hopefully Korea will do the same or even more with a dedicated gun cam option. Edited August 13 by sgt_fresh typo 1 1
