Flying Circus - Sopwith Pup still has roll control after wings ripped off

I've been playing a career with the Sopwith Pup and on three separate occasions lost all of my wings, yet I still retained roll control and was able to land. I know it's a skill issue losing my wings, but I should be punished with a death rather than being able to recover and land a fabric covered lawn dart.

Hmm I could be wrong but something doesn't seem right here. Probably a DM review is required to ensure visible damage is reflected in the flight dynamics, control systems, wing loading calculations, drag coefficients, power to weight ratios and the AoA particularly when flying wingless.
