Blinkstefaans Posted July 26 Posted July 26 I'm currently playing my first career, and I wanted to ask if you have to always land back at your airfield in order to successfully end the mission? Not that I don't like the flying, but for some of the missions the air combat is about 5 minutes and 30 minutes worth of transit (even using the speed-up function). So, can you end the mission at some point en-route back and still have a successful mission? Or do you have to land back / ditch / crash to end the mission? (Pictured: coming back from the morning of the 6th of June taking some heavy ground fire from the landing fleet...)

Kubert Posted July 26 Posted July 26 If you land at friendly air base, the game confiscate your aircraft but you can continue. You'll be marked as downed and one aircraft from your unit will be taken. 1
Blinkstefaans Posted July 26 Author Posted July 26 Thanks for the quick response. I will give it a go
bycomet Posted July 26 Posted July 26 And on Normandy D-day map, you don't need to fly back to your territory. As long as you fly about 10km away from the enemy's coastline, you are safe to finish. Perhaps it can be shorter, but if you can't measure the precise distance, it may lead you to be captured 2
