Flying Circus - What happened to AI Dog Fight Missions and Multiplayer interaction.

Hi,

I purchased Flying Circus Volume One five years ago.  There use to be great missions and multiplayer dog fight interaction.

I remember I would take off and be in the fight just a few miles away in both multiplayer, quick mission and AI missions.  Have I missed something in the last few years of not playing?  All I can find are a few patrol missions, which for me are very boring. 

 

I know there are three newer volumes.  Do any of these  still offer getting to the fight quickly.  There also were several areas of interesting scenery, steep mountains, rolling hills, etc....  I really miss the fun!

 

I also have  IL-2 Sturmovik: Battle of Bodenplatte - Standard Edition.  I miss the quick AI missions here as well.

 

I read the quality has improved.  That doesn't appear to be the case on my end.  I'm usingVR with Virtual desk top on godlike setting, which my PC can easily handle, RTX 4090.  Do I need to purchase newer volumes to have the improvements?

Hey Bullet !

 

You might be referring to some of my old 'maps', I think I remember you flying them a few times (Zoo Wings Server).

 

I stopped running it a long time ago - just no interest. The Flug was the only show in town.

Pity. Peeps have no sense. Your fast food server and maps were great for an entertaining laugh and that quick hit. And boy, did Nooney made me laugh. 

 

I even made a short video to promote it. Didn't work. Peeps have no sense.

While I'm looking, do you have practice maps for WWII?

My comment on resolution quality,  ignore it, I was grumpy.  

The picture quality is amazing with my Quest 3 via VDRX.

I remember the vid Catchy - brilliant editing and was appreciated good Sir !

 

Bullet - I've only got two ww2 maps :

 

'Frankfurt' - Initially designed as an ME262 intercept with waves of bombers coming in to hit Frankfurt as the sun is coming up. But you can select several planes and indeed play Allied if you want to help protect the bombers. Air starts or take off from the ground. Fairly quick action. MP map.

 

'Stukas Over Stalingrad' - This one is 'Mission' format. It's quite a long one. Take off in formation with other Stukas and dive bomb Stalingrad.

 

Both are pretty maxed out with ground action etc.

I miss Zoo Wings to this day. It was a pleasure to fly with you and the lads. I don't know if you remember this incident ... but you were in the Dr1 and me in the Camel and I thought I had you. Height advantage, confidence, coming in for the kill .... and then you pulled off these amazingly funny stunts (you hadn't flown her for some time so it was purely accidental) and I laughed so hard at what I was seeing, the little clown wagon, I couldn't stop, I was hysterical and then you recovered, I lost the advantage, still laughing uncontrollably and you shot me down, or I crashed or something, tears streaming from my eyes. It was the best death I've ever had.
