SIA_Koss Posted July 24 Posted July 24 I'm modifying my control panel and want to add more buttons to it for better immersion of flying experience. I will not ask about fuel controls which are added to keybinds settings list and don't work. I want to ask about bomb fuses. We do a bomb runs and i haven't seen anybody used a bomb fuses switcher. So, here's the question. Why do we have bomb fuse always turned on at spawn while we have an arm/disarm function? There's a keybind for it. There's even an animation in cockpits of some planes. It takes bytes and megabytes of disc space. Resources and time were spent to create it. But nobody sees it in the game. I wonder why? Then my suggestion is to make bombs fuses always to be switched off at spawn, because we have everything switched off when we spawn, right? I know, it might be a problem if devs will make it, because many players will be discontented why bombs didn't explode. So solution is to add an option how i wish it to work. For example, checkbox in game settings for bomb fuses "always armed or always disarmed at spawn". Or something like that. What do you think? 1 2

SIA_Koss Posted July 24 Author Posted July 24 Because of that for not to ruin the established things, i suggest to add an option. I would like to have bombs in safe mode at spawn, to switch them on before the attack, check it by an animation in cockpit. For better immersion 1

1CGS LukeFF Posted July 25 1CGS Posted July 25 Guys, I hear you, but this was a decision made long ago and I guarantee the number of "why are my bombs not exploding" complaints would skyrocket if it was changed. 1 1
NachtJaeger110 Posted July 25 Posted July 25 Part of my startup procedure is switching the fuses off and then (most of the time) back on when I need it. I like it like it is, people would go nuts forget it half the time, ruining the fun. Plus, I never experienced a bomb going off on accidents in multiplayer (like takfeoff), or is it just me and this happens all the time? 1

Switching the fuses bombs off is part of my procedure when I turn on the engine as a safety procedure for taking off (sometimes is necessary to drop the bombs if there is a problem and you don't want them to explode near you or over your troops). I agree it would be better if they were off by default as in reality. Another problem is that the animation of some bomb switches doesn't work and the players that prefer to play without tecnochat like me cannot know if the fuses are on or off sometimes. JG4_Moltke1871 Posted July 30 Posted July 30 I think what we need is a reason to use the bomb safety switch. There is no danger that the bomb would detonate due to shock, nearby explosions or shelling. Fly around with an armed bomb all the time should be a high risk. And as I recall, we were given hope here in the forum that we would still get a visually functioning German bomb control box. Is there still something under construction about that? 1
JG4_Moltke1871 Posted July 31 Posted July 31 Remind the sense of this image in our Ju 88 cockpits Fill it with live 🙂🙂💣💥 1
