I eagerly await the pleasant surprise mentioned at the end of the update.  *Dreams of F-82*

We have now discussed almost all aircraft in the main set of our new project. Now there is only one left, to which we have not dedicated a Dev Blog yet. Besides this machine, we plan to talk about the additional aircraft set during the fall. We expect this to surprise you pleasantly!

Somewhat confused by this; there's been no blog about the F-84, the F4U or the F9F Panther? What's left out of these three?

In terms of land based planes, the F-84 is the last one. The Corsair and Panther will be discussed later.

What difference does fire rate on the cannons make for any advantages when they're synchronized firing through the propeller arc?  Hardly a listable advancement.

It's somewhat of a side grade, as you'll land more bullets on target during the time your aim is lined up, but you'll also waste your ammo faster when you're missing. It's especially useful for fast maneuvering targets, as a .1 second snapshot might be all you get, and you need to make it count.

Some very nice images! Is the terrain the actual Korea terrain, or still the testing map?

Will there be glass distortion (i.e. refraction)?

There are two advantages:

1. More stable firing platform. Recoil does not causing any yaw momentum. Ofcourse - motor-gun is the best in this term. But axial engines cant support them.

2. Minimized latitudinal convergence angles - you're not pinned so much to specific firing range as in case with wing-guns.

Also, there are not too much losses in rate of fire due to synchronizer - check for attached chart-example.

I don't think that supporting hopes which are not planned to be come true is a good move from our side - so i should disclose that it's not twin Mustang. Sorry.

But.

I'm pretty sure, that announcing several (not just one) cool fighters with hooks for Korea theater later this year will make you happy too.

The La-11 looks fantastic.  I have always liked the looks of the La series and look forward to flying this version in the sim.  The ground texturing is looking much better with farm fields that appear more like the authentic Korea landscape at the time.  Perhaps a farm sim add on can be planned so I can plough fields as the battles occur overhead?  (just kidding). I don't think I have ever looked forward to a new flight sim release as much as Korea!

Does it mean initial Il-2 Korea release will be without carrier aircraft and they will come later in their own add-on?

Some Carrier aircraft units operated from land bases... I'm assuming we may get them before the carrier.

Right now, I suspect the "several fighters with hooks" is going to be these two semi-announced carrier fighters :)

It does seem very likely those 2 are getting delayed until the carrier expansion, but saying "several" and that we'll be happy about the announcement, makes me think the carrier expansion will have more than just those 2, unless he's trolling.

That one must be drunk, he forgot his booms.

The army really dropped the ball on that one, they had the man with no name signed up and they put him on lifeguard duty. No wonder the wars in a stalemate.
