MDzmitry Posted July 5 Posted July 5 Long story short: I often hear radio calls from AI fighting/landing and quite often for the US units the call sign is "Eagle". It's present in all chat messages, but in terms of audio I hear no "Eagle". Instead, messages like "Eagle 2, requesting landing permission" turns into "2, requesting landing permission". It's either a problem on my end (in which case I humbly ask for the necessary audio files to drop into my game folder) or some other shenanigans. A track as an example of such a case, messages just happened as a background. 1
MDzmitry Posted July 15 Author Posted July 15 Additional info: similar situation occurs with the "Agnus" call sign, but somewhat differently: pilots drop it in their messages (same case as with "Eagle"), but upon giving permission to land airfield staff said the call sign (that was the only time I heard it throughout the mission).
MDzmitry Posted August 9 Author Posted August 9 Different problem in a similar field, so I won't spam topics and just post it here: Briefly: AI doesn't use "Engaging ___" and "Target destroyed" commands. Full description: around the same time as my career went from Normandy to Rheinland, my squadron's AI stopped using "battle" commands listed above. They still report taking off and request landing permission, same goes for the "wounded" command being used when necessary. But the engagement and claim commands suddenly became absent. This problem only affected my squadron, with occasional allies using their commands as intended. Link to download 2 track files from the same sortie, during which my flight ("Rabbit") got 4 enemy aircraft. P.S. - Note, that there was also flight "Filmstar" present in track file 1 that was claiming enemies shot down, but none for my sqn. In track file 2 there's a nice view of a Spit shooting down a Fw 190, but once again no command heard regarding that.
