Just posted this review on Reddit:

I just got the ButtKicker Gamer Plus for Father’s Day and have been trying to find the best setup for Il-2.

I tried:
- IL2Shaker - Free

- SimHaptics - $20 - 7-day trial

- SimShaker Wings - $21 - 8x 20 min trials

IL2Shaker was a nice start, but it cut out during intense aerial battles with lots of planes. (But it’s free!)

Unfortunately, SicSix hasn’t updated it in 2 years so it feels abandoned.

SimHaptics was cool. I liked the 7-day trial to get a feel for it. Unfortunately, it has an issue where ground rolls and bumps continued to be felt even when your plane is stopped with the engine off. Rather immersion-breaking.

The deal breaker for me, however, was that Roy, the author, doesn’t respond at all to feedback, questions, etc. on his Discord. Left a bad taste in my mouth.

I tried SimShaker Wings last (the 20-minute-at-a-time trials put me off for a while). But when I finally gave it a shot, of the three it was the first one that just “felt right” when I fired up the engine. I know that’s subjective, but it’s this pilot’s opinion.

But what sealed the deal for me was the author, Andre. He’s active on the Il-2 forums and replied right away to my questions and issues.

He earned a customer out of me, and I highly recommend SimShaker Wings for haptic feedback with transducers like ButtKickers for Il-2.
