clod65 Posted November 15, 2025 Posted November 15, 2025 (edited) I just sent this:- Hi Fulqrum, Do you know when in 2026 it will be for the launch of the new DLC:- IL-2 Sturmovik: Fortresses and Focke-Wulfs - Dieppe? Will it be in the beginning of the year or near the end of the year? There are other fans of the game that I will pass this information onto Thank you clod65 Edited November 15, 2025 by clod65 There's no harm in trying..

clod65 Posted November 15, 2025 Posted November 15, 2025 (edited) They also did say:- Please, make sure your follow-up email is on the same thread as your initial message. Edited November 15, 2025 by clod65 besides i'm not hurting anyone but you maybe lol
AndyJWest Posted November 15, 2025 Posted November 15, 2025 That isn't an invitation to repeat the same question. And no, you probably aren't hurting anyone directly. On the other hand, that sort of behaviour is not only annoying to the person (probably a relatively low-paid employee, who quite likely won't know anything much about the specifics of CloD anyway) who has to deal with it, but carrying on like that may make it less likely that Fulqrum will respond quickly (or at all) to more reasonable queries in future. They aren't in business to engage in pointless conversations, and no doubt have better things they could be doing with their time. 1

Since when did Buzzsaw own Fulqrum? 14 hours ago, paul_leonard said: Work is being done. When it will surface… Is @AWC still in charge of Marketing and PR? Are any of the team (other than you) actually sharing progress with him? Models, Speedtree, Truesky, VR...the list is huge but the information being released is marginal. At the start of the year we had monthly updates, that dwindled away...then an update in June.....then 5-months later....are we to take it on face value that nothing has progressed or as per usual, the team forget they have a Marketing and PR person and leave him to piss in the wind?
Dagwoodyt Posted November 15, 2025 Posted November 15, 2025 It's a mistake to conflate Team membership with TFS. TFS is a business entity whereas it looks as though Team members are an unpaid "volunteer" class and likely not in a position to decide what the business entity says or does. How much contact these members have with TFS management and with each other is an unknowable. The volunteers may not know any more than end users do. Further, they are under NDA's so they are not even free to discuss what they do know. The result is that we have no way of knowing whether either the VU/VR or TF 6.0 projects are functioning in a purposeful manner even if Team volunteers are still engaging their individual "chores". Radio silence makes no sense in reassuring anyone so I don't see any logic whatsoever in viewing it as evidence of project success. 1
1CGS LukeFF Posted November 16, 2025 1CGS Posted November 16, 2025 Alright, guys, I'm going to open this one back up. But, if there are any more personal attacks, expect it to be shut down again. 2 1
marcost Posted November 16, 2025 Posted November 16, 2025 Good call, Luke. Customers are customers whether they are frustrated and cynical or not.
major_setback Posted November 16, 2025 Posted November 16, 2025 You mean I can shut the thread, just by being rude? ... hmmmmm 🤔 2
Dagwoodyt Posted November 17, 2025 Posted November 17, 2025 If all is well a 2025 "Year in Review" blockbuster update removes all doubt🤔 1

I'd point out that there are limits to this. I've never seen indications that this is live service model with early access... i.e. if you bought Desert Wings you are a customer of Desert Wings... If you haven't bought Focke-wulfs and Fortresses yet, you aren't yet a customer of that product... so I might question that amount of frustration that can be justified (at least for any features that were never planned to come out before Focke-wulfs and Fortresses). I personally don't feel that frustrated. I do feel frustrated for the planned Aces Over Europe sequel in a new engine that was planned to model North Africa, and was cancelled around 2000... but TFS did finally deliver a North African sim for us... so I'm pleased with that (after a quarter century waiting for anyone to do it, TFS did it!). So that makes me pretty happy. P.S. For the record Fulqcrum/TFS are a different publisher and different developer from those whom LukeFF works as a community manager for. 1 1
Dagwoodyt Posted November 17, 2025 Posted November 17, 2025 How likely is it that people who have followed CloD development since Oleg first announced it will not attempt to follow that development to its' endpoint? 1
Dagwoodyt Posted November 17, 2025 Posted November 17, 2025 Certainly not everyone was excited when TF 6.0 first started being teased. Some of those who were excited might now feel "frustrated". 1

So that makes me pretty happy. That was Desert Fighters. I’m also frustrated for that the USS Arizona, USS Juneau, USS West Virginia, HMS Repulse, HMS Dido, IJN Shoho, IJN Kongo, and a Japanese light cruiser, heavy cruiser and submarine along with a Philippines map were not in Pacific Fighters and IL-2 1946 nor have they been added by Team Daidalos. And that planes like the Heinkel Lerche, MiG 9, Yak-15, LaGG-3RD, and Me-262 with butterfly tail were added in 1946 and not the Gloster Meteor, F8F, P-47M, TBD, Helldiver, and Me-410. However, Combat Pilot and 1C will deliver Pacific War games for us to enjoy. Edited November 17, 2025 by Enceladus828
